FCA ENDURANCE

Why Do You Race? FCA Endurance gives adult Christian runners, triathletes, and cyclists, as well as all who support endurance athletics the chance to tell the world why they do the things they do and why they are the people they are.  Our ministry's purpose is to unite people competing for a common goal (to glorify God) and equip them for ministry within the endurance community. It serves as a way for believers to recognize each other and share in a closer fellowship with one another while reaching out to those who don't yet know Jesus as Savior and Lord.

Who We Are: FCA Endurance is a sport-specific ministry of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes dedicated to ministering to and through endurance sports.

Our Vision: To see the endurance community of the Lake Area impacted for Christ.

Our Mission: To present to the Lake Area endurance community and all whom they influence the challenge and adventure of receiving Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.

Our Purpose: To united and equip endurance athletes of the Lake Area to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ and share that faith with others.

Who Can Join: Anyone

Is there a special skill level required to join? No. Anyone from novices to veteran endurance athletes are welcome. Whether you are about to do your first 1 mile fun run or your 10th Iron Man, you are welcome to join.

What is SPORT-SPECIFIC MINISTRY (SSM)?
FCA Sport-Specific Ministry (SSM) impacts specific sports communities for Christ by ministering to coaches and athletes united around a particular sport. The opportunities to impact athletes and coaches are growing every day as an astounding 44 million youth under the age of 18 participate in organized youth sports in America*. The Sport-Specific Ministry strategy provides avenues to serve coaches and athletes in the sport(s) where their greatest passion lies.

FCA BASEBALL
FCA Baseball is a comprehensive national ministry that incorporates ministry to athletes and coaches at all levels of baseball: professional, college, and youth. We conduct youth clinics, coaches and parent seminars, and field various age levels of competitive teams for players and coaches to improve their baseball skills as well as grow spiritually.

FCA Baseball is striving to make the baseball world better. We desire to make a positive impact in communities round the world by building into the lives of baseball players and coaches. We train athletes and coaches to become Godly role models to those whom they influence.

FCA TEAMS

FCA Teams are groups of committed coaches, athletes, parents and volunteers who love Jesus Christ and want to partner with FCA to reach more athletes and coacheson theircommunity, youth, and clubteams/leagues. We’ve created an FCA Teams Playbook to equip, encourage, and empower FCA Teams’ coaches to fully understand the vital role they play in building a healthy team environment for their athletes and the philosophies and guidelines expected of FCA Teams coaches, players, and parents.

There are two types of FCA Teams: event teams and seasonal teams.

  • Event teams are formed for a single athletic competition, such as an exhibition game or weekend tournament. The periods of play are for at least one day and up to one week of competition.
  • Seasonal teams compete for an extended period of time, such as participation in a summer or club league. The periods of play are for at least one season and up to one year.

If you would like more information on how to have an FCA Team, contact Steve.
